Limestones are by nature softer types of natural stone, presenting limitations in terms of use in applications such as exterior landscaping where strength, hardness and low water absorption are required. There are however few limestones that present the technical characteristics for such uses and that are commonly used on a diversity of durable exterior landscaping applications. Below we present some:
Ataija Azul

Blue coloured limestone, with fine grain and uniform background. This is one of the hardest limestones from Portugal and a preferential choice for diverse landscaping applications. It is commonly used in exterior street paving.
Ataija Creme

The beige coloured variation of the Ataija Azul, this limestone has a fine grain, fairly uniform background and a well defined beige colour. This is one of the hardest limestones from Portugal and a preferential choice for diverse landscaping applications. It is commonly used in exterior street paving.
Moleanos Vidraco

This limestone variation of the well-known Moleanos Classic represents a marginal part of the production and extraction within Moleanos quarries. However, it presents a glassy structure that makes it a hard limestone and a great choice for exterior landscaping applications.
Moleanos Classic

The famous limestone from Portugal, the Moleanos Classic presents a certain hardness, which is well appreciated in exterior landscaping applications with low to moderate use, such as private gardens, flooring, etc.
Lioz

The Lioz is a historical limestone, being found pretty much on any historical building in Portugal. Today it has a more discreet representation in the market, but nonetheless is a preferential limestone to be used on any type of landscaping application.
