Creme Fatima

DESCRIPTION

The Creme Fatima is a light beige / whitish colored limestone, with thin to medium grain and uniform background. It presents a very uniform structure, but some occasional thin lines and some darker brown spots. In terms of hardness, this is a soft limestone. Its variations depend on the grain and amount of lines and darker spots.

The Creme Fatima presents a very similar look to other major Portuguese limestones such as the Moleanos, Semi Rijo or Cabeca Veada, but is not as popular mostly because it is a softer type of stone, with some irregular supply. Nonetheless, if supply challenges are overcome, this can be a great choice of limestone for applications that do not require a very hard limestone.

TECHNICAL DATA

Compression strenght: 1366 Kg/cm2; Bending strenght: 203 Kg/cm2; Porosity: 8,0%

RECOMMENDED APPLICATIONS

The Creme Fatima is mostly used in cladding applications, as well as coverings, masonry and stonework. Due to its softer nature, this limestone should be mostly used in interior applications with moderate traffic, or if used in exteriors, in warmer climates.
